A Mid-Media Campaign on HIV/AIDS Awareness was successfully conducted on June 13, 2026. The programme was originally scheduled for June 12, 2026, but had to be postponed by a day due to incessant rainfall.
The event featured a futsal tournament involving local youth teams and was organized through the collaboration of FIWDC-LWS, Saitual District Office, and Kristian Thalai Pawl, Khanpui.
Throughout the one-day tournament, HIV/AIDS awareness messages were broadcast periodically over the public address (PA) system, ensuring that all participants and spectators received important information on HIV prevention and awareness.
In addition, an awareness session on HIV/AIDS was conducted by Mr. Zothantluanga, Cluster Link Worker, who shared valuable information and encouraged responsible health practices among the youth.
A total of five teams participated in the tournament. At the conclusion of the event, prizes were distributed to all participating teams. The champion team received Rs. 2,000, the runners-up received Rs. 1,000, and the third-placed team was awarded Rs. 500. The remaining two teams were presented with consolation prizes.
The programme successfully combined sports and health education, creating an engaging platform for promoting HIV/AIDS awareness among young people in the community.
