Introduction
The programme commenced with the registration of participants at 9:30 AM. Cluster Link Workers from various clusters, programme staff, and resource persons attended the meeting. Out of the 20 Cluster Link Workers under the programme, 19 were present, while one Cluster Link Worker was unable to attend due to a serious medical condition. The programme was also attended by Sr. Ruth Zonunthari, Director, FIWDC, and Mr. Henry Lalmuanzuala, Counsellor, Ferrando Childrens' Home (FCH), who accompanied the Director from the organization's main office at Durtlang. The attendance reflected the strong commitment and support extended towards the successful implementation of the Link Worker Scheme.
Registration and Opening Session
The programme commenced with the registration of participants at 9:30 AM. Cluster Link Workers from various clusters, programme staff, and resource persons attended the meeting.
The session began with an opening prayer led by Mr. Hauzikpuia, CLW of Suangpuilawn Cluster, invoking God's blessings for the successful conduct of the programme.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dominic Lalbiakmawia, District Resource Person (DRP), who welcomed all participants and highlighted the importance of periodic review meetings in monitoring progress, identifying challenges, and improving programme implementation.
Review Presentation
A detailed review presentation was delivered by the District Resource Person (DRP). The presentation covered the achievements and progress made during the first quarter, including outreach activities, HIV screening, condom distribution, referrals, follow-up services, and documentation. The DRP also discussed challenges encountered in the field and encouraged the participants to strengthen their efforts in reaching vulnerable populations and maintaining quality reporting.
In-House Training on TB 4S Screening
An in-house training session on TB 4S Screening was conducted by the Counsellor-cum-Nurse. The session emphasized the importance of early identification of tuberculosis symptoms among vulnerable populations and provided guidance on the proper procedures for conducting TB 4S screening. Participants actively engaged in the discussion and clarified practical issues related to screening and referrals.
Experience Sharing Session
During the experience-sharing session, Cluster Link Workers shared their field experiences, success stories, and challenges encountered while carrying out programme activities in their respective areas. The discussion provided an opportunity for mutual learning and encouraged participants to adopt effective strategies and best practices used by their peers.
Address by the Director
Sr. Ruth Zonunthari, Director, FIWDC, addressed the gathering and expressed her appreciation for the dedication and commitment shown by the Cluster Link Workers in serving communities across the district.
During her address, she shared the history of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC), the religious congregation founded by the late Bishop Stephen Ferrando. She explained how the congregation was established with a mission to serve the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable sections of society. She further highlighted that Ferrando Integrated Women Development Centre (FIWDC) derives its name from Bishop Ferrando in recognition of his vision, values, and lifelong commitment to social service and human development.
The Director encouraged all participants to continue serving their communities with dedication, compassion, and sincerity. She also assigned a home assignment to all Cluster Link Workers, requesting them to write and submit their most interesting field experience or the most significant challenge they had encountered during their work. The assignment was intended to document field realities, promote reflective learning, and provide valuable insights for future programme planning.
Best Cluster Link Worker Award
As part of the programme, recognition was accorded to outstanding performance among the Cluster Link Workers. The Best Cluster Link Worker Award for the 1st Quarter of 2026 was presented to Mr. Lalchhandama of Phullen Cluster in appreciation of his dedication, commitment, and exemplary performance in implementing Link Worker Scheme activities during the quarter.
The award was presented by Sr. Ruth Zonunthari, Director, FIWDC, who congratulated Mr. Lalchhandama for his hard work and encouraged all Cluster Link Workers to continue striving for excellence in their service delivery. The recognition served as a source of motivation for the participants and reinforced the importance of commitment and quality performance in achieving programme objectives.
Motivational Talk and Closing Session
Before the conclusion of the programme, Sr. Matilda Khonjir was invited to share a few words with the participants. She delivered a motivational talk, encouraging the Cluster Link Workers to remain committed to their responsibilities, persevere through challenges, and continue making positive contributions to the communities they serve. Her inspiring message was well received by all participants.
Vote of Thanks and Conclusion
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Lalthapuii, M&E cum Accounts Assistant, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chairperson, Director, resource persons, Cluster Link Workers, and all participants for their active participation and valuable contributions to the success of the programme.
The programme concluded with a Thanksgiving Prayer led by Sr. Matilda Khonjir, thanking God for the successful completion of the meeting and seeking blessings for the continued implementation of the Link Worker Scheme.
The 1st Quarter Review Meeting cum In-House Training successfully served as a platform for programme review, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and motivation. Participants gained valuable insights and renewed enthusiasm to carry out their responsibilities more effectively in the coming quarter.
The programme ended with a group photo session followed by refreshments.
