mHealth for pregnant and postpartum women - A feasibility and acceptability study

The overall goal of this work is to help communities in Eastern India track and provide health care for members of their community with a special focus on pregnant women and babies.

Mobile phones are utilized to gather data on community members and their health, we offer referral services for ultrasound tests to help women better understand their pregnancies and identify potential complications during delivery, and we also organize free medical health camps in rural villages where adequate medical facilities are limited or unavailable.

The scheme is being implemented through Mizoram State AIDS Control Society. FIWDC started implementing the scheme since 2010 and till today, the scheme covers more than 180 villages in the two districts.

Decent Work for Domestic Workers

'Decent work for domestic workers' project aims to uphold their rights as human beings, recognizing their invaluable contributions to society. Predominantly women in Mizoram, these workers deserve fair treatment, respect, and opportunities to empower themselves. The project advocates for their rights and provide education on labor rights and protections so that they can realize their full potential to live with dignity and justice. Ensuring decent work not only elevates their lives but also strengthens the foundation of equitable and inclusive communities.
